Pancevo police have arrested three people on suspicion of spraying racist graffiti on the walls of a Catholic church. They are suspected of writing messages such as “Orthodox or death“, “Death to Catholics“, “Vengeance for Kosovo“ on the walls of St. Karl Boromejski Church in Pancevo on the night of July 3/4. Bishop Mihalj Eres said that he was surprised by the messages because the Catholic church in the town had always shown love towards every man, openness to all faiths, and willingness for dialogue. Milovan Glogovac from the Orthodox church said that relations between the two churches in Pancevo were excellent, and that such messages had to be condemned as ugly and unnecessary.
