Second murder in 3 days in northern Kosovo

Todor Deverdzic, a Serb from Kosovo, has been found dead in Rudare on the Zvecan-Kosovska Mitrovica road, the Kosovo Police Service (KPS) has confirmed. KPS regional spokesman Besim Hoti said that Deverdzic had been killed in his car, a Golf, dismissing the possibility that his murder was connected to ethnic motives. Neighbors informed Tanjug that Deverdzic had been a displaced person and father of six children. UNMIK police and KFOR troops were present on the scene together with KPS officers. This is the second murder in northern Kosovo in the last few days Two days ago, Radoslav Minic (46) from Ibarski Kolasin was killed and Predrag Djukic (46) wounded in a shoot-out in Zubin Potok. Dragisa Djukic from Zubin Potok was arrested in connection with that incident.

Overnight, the police took two Serbs into custody on suspicion of Deverdžić’s murder, said Hiti.

Two days ago, Radoslav Minić (46) from Ibarski Kolašin was killed and Predrag Đukić (46) wounded in a shoot-out in Zubin Potok.

Dragiša Đukić from Zubin Potok was arrested in connection with that incident.
