A 19-year-old ethnic Albanian has been arrested in Kosovo last night, in connection to an attempted break-in into Hashim Thaci's house.

A 19-year-old ethnic Albanian has been arrested in Kosovo last night, in connection to an attempted break-in into Hashim Thaci's house. While news agencies reported members of Thaci's government qualifying the incident as "an attack", police said it was likely a botched burglary attempt. Man arrested over Thaci break-in "We believe the motive was illegal acquisition of material gains," Kosovo police, KPS, spokesman Veton Elshani was quoted as saying. The suspect was wounded by the guards once he was spotted on the balcony of the house, while police confirmed an exchange of fire did take place. Security sources also said that the man, previously wanted on robbery charges, was reported to the police by his own father. Thaci was not inside the premises when the incident took place late Friday.
