War crimes indictment disappears

An indictment for war crimes committed against Serbs in the region of Bosanski Brod has gone missing, says a local NGO. “Inquiring as to fate of this case which we handed to the Hague Tribunal in 2002, we were told that it had been passed to the Bosnia-Herzegovina prosecution, but that there is no official documentation showing that the case ever made it from The Hague to Sarajevo,” said Marko Grabovac, the president of the Association for the Search for Imprisoned Fighters and Missing Civilians from Brod. War crimes indictment disappears He said that the charges related to crimes committed in Sijekovac and other parts of the Bosanski Brod municipality that Croatian troops entered on the night of March 3-4, 1992. The Brod NGO compiled the names of 813 Croats and Bosnian Muslims that committed war crimes against Serbs in that municipality in 1992. The responsibility for beginning an investigation into the case is now being bounced between the Bosnia-Herzegovina Prosecutor’s Office and the Zenica-Doboj canton.

He said that the charges related to crimes committed in Sijekovac and other parts of the Bosanski Brod municipality that Croatian troops entered on the night of March 3-4, 1992.The Brod NGO compiled the names of 813 Croats and Bosnian Muslims that committed war crimes against Serbs in that municipality in 1992.
The responsibility for beginning an investigation into the case is now being bounced between the Bosnia-Herzegovina Prosecutor’s Office and the Zenica-Doboj canton.
