Shots fired at Islamic community building

Shots were fired late on Monday night at the Riaset building of Mufti Adem Zilkic-led Islamic Community of Serbia in Novi Pazar. “Police officer have investigated the scene and found several shells. The prosecutor and investigative judge have yet to visit the scene of the shooting even though 12 hours have passed since the incident,” reads a statement from the Riaset. The police confirmed that three shots had been fired at the Riaset building at 23:07 CET on Monday. “We are calling on the authorities to do everything they can to solve the case and protect the staff and property of the Islamic community’s Riaset, as well as all the citizens,” the statement concludes.
