Milan Zivanovic has been questioned over his part in the American embassy fire in Belgrade. Besides Zivanovic, three other witnesses were questioned, District Court spokeswoman Ivana Ramic told Tanjug, though she said that the names of the witnesses could not be made public at this stage of the investigation. U.S. embassy arson suspect questioned One of the witnesses, Tanjug understands unofficially, was the father of Zojan Vujovic (20), whose charred body was found in the U.S. embassy that demonstrators set to fire to, during a peaceful “Kosovo is Serbia” protest in the city center. The District Court launched an investigation against Milan Zivanovic on March 1 on suspicion of taking part in the burning of the American embassy together with a group of several unidentified individuals, thus endangering people’s lives and property. Zivanovic is currently in custody and has been charged with “seriously endangering general security” and “aggravated theft”. Experts from the Military-Medical Academy confirmed that Vujovic died of “acute carbon monoxide poisoning and first-degree burns.”

The District Court launched an investigation against Milan Živanović on March 1 on suspicion of taking part in the burning of the American embassy together with a group of several unidentified individuals, thus endangering people’s lives and property.

Živanović is currently in custody and has been charged with “seriously endangering general security” and “aggravated theft”.

Experts from the Military-Medical Academy confirmed that Vujović died of “acute carbon monoxide poisoning and first-degree burns.”
