Medak Pocket witnesses testify via video link

A number of witnesses for the trial of Rahim Ademi and Mirko Norac have testified by video link in Belgrade. They have given evidence at the Belgrade District Court via video link for the trial that is taking place at the Zagreb District Court. Medak Pocket witnesses testify via video link A statement from the Belgrade District Court says that the War Crimes Chamber has allowed witnesses who, because of age and health reasons cannot testify in Croatia, to testify via video link from the courthouse in Belgrade. In the last three days, seven witnesses have given evidence this way. “This method allows successful regional cooperation over processing war crimes suspects to continue,” continues the statement. Croatian Generals Ademi and Norac have been accused of war crimes against Serb civilians and prisoners of war, numerous murders and persecution of the Serb population and destroying Serb villages in the Medak Pocket during 1993.
