Austrian police have arrested 20 people suspected of smuggling heroin from Serbia to Austria. Among those arrested was the assumed ringleader, a 24 year-old Serbian male whose name has not been released. Austrian police bust Serb-led drug ring The group is suspected of smuggling 30 kilograms of heroin with a street value of close to EUR 10mn. According to Austrian police, the drugs were smuggled from Serbia to Austria in the second half of 2007. Some of the drugs were then smuggled into Spain and Germany. Police have reportedly seized some three kilograms of drugs.
