Unknown attackers attempted to demolish a building belonging to a private Albanian television station in Bujanovac. “We are not sure how many of them there were, but one of them tried to get through the metal door with an axe. Since he was not able to do so, he broke everything in sight in the lobby of the building,” Director of the Spektri station Jeton Ismaili said. Bujanovac TV station attacked “It is indicative that the vandals attacked this private and independent television station three hours after we started broadcasting programs, following a three day stoppage in broadcasts,” he said. Spektri stopped broadcasting on Thursday night in order to draw attention to the fact that Municipal President Nagip Arifij had called for the arrest of three of the station’s senior officials: Nedzad Beljulji, Bakija Redzepi and Jeton Ismaili. Arifi denied the claims.
