Serbian MUP said Monday it worked with French and German counterparts to arrest two men suspected of terrorist activity. Adnan Hot, 28, and Nedzad Memic, 30, have been arrested in a joint action by the three countries' police forces on suspicion that they organized terrorist camps on Mt. Ninaja near Zabren, Sandzak, southwestern Serbia. "Thanks to a joint action by the Serbian, German and French police that lasted several weeks, the suspects have been located and apprehended," the MUP said in a statement today. Following extradition procedure in Germany, Hot was brought before the investigative magistrate of the Special Department of the Belgrade District Court. The second suspect, Memic, is currently in extradition detention in France, following a decision by the Dijon Court, the statement said. On June 11 this year, police discovered more than 10,000 bullet rounds and more than 15 kilos of explosives originating from Kosovo province, allegedly planned to be used in terrorist activities in the territories of Novi Pazar, Tutin and Sjenica.

Hot and Memić are believed to have organized training and supplied arms, explosives and landmine caches discovered during several Serbian police raids in the area last spring and summer.

"Thanks to a joint action by the Serbian, German and French police that lasted several weeks, the suspects have been located and apprehended," the MUP said in a statement today.

Following extradition procedure in Germany, Hot was brought before the investigative magistrate of the Special Department of the Belgrade District Court.

The second suspect, Memić, is currently in extradition detention in France, following a decision by the Dijon Court, the statement said.
