Charges have been pressed against Sreten Jocic, aka Joca Amsterdam, for incitement to murder. The Public Prosecutor in Belgrade filed the charges today. In a statement, the public prosecutor’s office for media relations has reported that Jocic has been accused of “the premeditated incitement of Bojan Milosavljevic and Miodrag Prodanovic to commit a number of murders” in July 1995. Belgrade gangster to stand trial The statement claims that he first persuaded them, and then reached an agreement with them to kill the late Goran Marjanovic and one other person nicknamed Duca, in return for which he would pay them 50,000 Marks, about EUR 25,000 in today’s terms. Jocic subsequently, it is added, gave them a car with Italian number plates, and two “Heckler and Koch” automatic rifles, which Milosavljevic and Prodanovic used to kill both Goran Marjanovic and Marija Djordjevic, as well as injuring several other bystanders in the Olimp Sports Center in Belgrade.
