Serbian hooligans face trial in Montenegro

“The investigation is underway. All suspects have been released pending trial,” Judge Banko Vučković said Thursday in Kotor.

The court president negated allegations reported by some media that Kotor Municipal Prosecutor Boris Savić bowed out from prosecuting the suspects, stressing that he only arranged their release from custody in coordination with Judge Biljana Uskoković.

Vučković could not say when the investigation would be completed, adding that witnesses, including Montenegrin policemen and persons from Croatia, were yet to give statements.

If tried and found guilty, the suspects could face jail terms of six months to five years.
