Convicted drug dealer appeals to EU court
Nenad Opačić, sentenced to 14 years in jail for selling drugs, filed an appeal before the European Human Rights Court.

According to Novi Sad daily Dnevnik, the appeal said that Opačić case recorded a violation of the provision of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms pertaining to the right to a fair trial.“The right to the presumption of innocence, to exclusion from retroactive legislation, right to an effective remedy, and the right to a trial before an independent and impartial court have also been violated,” the appeal said.
