Karić moving money abroad?

The same sources have disclosed that Karić is currently in London, while the money transfer takes place with the assistance from “certain persons from Kosovo”.

The main role in the transfer of Karić’s money from Serbia, however, is that of a 32-year old Canadian national, identified as M.B., until recently employed with BK Telekom radio and television.

M.B. is, according to what Politika dubs “reliable sources”, currently in Belgrade, meeting with Karić’s trusted aides, who are helping organize BK Group business, taking as much money out of Serbia as possible, transferring it to the bank accounts abroad.

”There are indications that she [M.B.] has with her, or hidden somewhere, detailed documentation on the business she was involved with. She is also in possession of the data on the public figures bribed by Karić in the past”, the source told the daily.

”Karić kept meticulous records on corrupt persons, and trusted M.B. with them. She is now ready to take that data out of the country”.

Politika’s sources, close both to the Karić family and to Serbia’s secret services, say that the activities M.B. undertook on behalf of Bogoljub Karić and his son Nebojša likely included money-laundering.

She was engaged in establishing and closing fictitious and off-shore companies in London, Cyprus and elsewhere. The sources speculate that she earned over half a million euros in the process.

”She was an active participant in preparing and implementing fictitious contracts and payments for people who were in reality never employed by BK Telekom, which was one of the ways to bribe government institutions and political parties”, Politika’s sources conclude.
