Paul Cezanne’s painting worth several dozens of millions of euros, which was stolen by Serbian citizens, was found last night in Belgrade, daily Blic writes. According to the daily, the operation was organized by the Service for the Fight Against Organized Crime (SBPOK) and the Organized Crime Prosecution. So far it has not been confirmed which Cezanne’s paining was recovered but it is most likely “Boy in the Red Vest” which was stolen from the Zurich museum together with Edgar Degas, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet’s works in 2008. The three suspects were arrested in the operation that was carried out in Belgrade and Čačak.

The Serbian police cooperated with their colleagues from several states and the operation was prepared for several months.

So far it has not been confirmed which Cezanne’s paining was recovered but it is most likely “Boy in the Red Vest” which was stolen from the Zurich museum together with Edgar Degas, Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet’s works in 2008.

Monet and Van Gogh’s paintings were found soon after the robbery but the search for Cezanne’s Boy in the Red Vest and Degas’ Viscount Lepic and His Daughters continued.
