The UN appointed Thursday key staff for a temporary new court that will complete the work of tribunals for war crimes in Yugoslavia and Rwanda. UN spokesman Martin Nesirky has said that U.S. Judge Theodor Meron, who is currently presiding over The International War Crimes Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), will be president of the new joint court, known as the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals, AP reported.
