KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- A group of Serbs attacked three ethnic Albanians yesterday in two separate incidents in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, say Kosovo Albanian media.

Two of the Albanians, who are in a serious condition, are reported to have been taken to the neurosurgical unit of the hospital in the south of the town.

Kosovo police and the hospital confirmed that the Albanians had been attacked in the north of the town, near the Ibar bridge and the Dolce Vita café.

The duty doctor at the improvised hospital in southern Mitrovica said that two Albanians with serious injuries caused by blunt objects had been brought there from the north of the town.
