EUFOR searching Mladić family homes

EUFOR members in Bosnia-Hercegovina conducted a search this morning of residential property owned by Ratko Mladic’s relatives. This morning EUFOR searched houses in Vojkovici and Kasindol belonging to Milica Avram and Radinka Mladic, the cousin and daughter-in-law of the former Bosnian Serb military leader, indicted by the Hague Tribunal for genocide in Srebrenica in 1995. NATO spokesman Derek Chapel said that the operation had begun in the early hours of the morning, on the orders of the Hague Tribunal. The spokesman told reporters that the goal of the operation was to find information that could point to the fugitive's current whereabouts. Republic of Srpska MUP members also took part in the search, which was supervised by Hague Tribunal representatives. EUFOR stated that the operation was part of a broader regional strategy that had already involved a number of similar searches targeting suspected members of Mladic’s support network.
