Documents found on Nazi Egner
20 July 2008 | 13:31 | Source: B92, Tanjug
BELGRADE -- The War Crimes Prosecution will take over documents incriminating Peter Egner, a suspected WW2 Nazi.

Egner, a U.S. citizen, was discovered living in Seattle recently.

He is suspected of taking part in the murder of thousands of Serbs, Jews and Romas during Nazi Germany's Second World War occupation of Yugoslavia.

Now the director of the Belgrade Archive, Branka Prpa, says this institution has in its possession two documents regarding Egner.

"The Belgrade Archive has found documents on Peter Egner in the card of Belgrade residents, where he registered in 1940, which shows that the German plan to occupy Belgrade was underway."

"We also found [reference to] him in certain files on people who went through Gestapo investigation procedures," she said.

Prpa added that the content of these documents will be revealed to the public at a later date, after the Serbian War Crimes Prosecution has examined them.

Suspension and Bridges, January 31, 2010

What we need in Belgrade, really, is a suspension bridge. We need a bridge that will suspend our doubts about ever having enough viable bridges. We need a bridge that will suspend our disbelief about the dangers ...
