PRIŠTINA -- In its regular six-month report, the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency says that 68 cases of corruption have been reported in 2008.

Of those 68, 33 are in procedure.

The prosecutor's office has received 21 cases where a suspicion of corruption exists, the highest individual figure pertaining to the Kosovo government. The next worst offender is the justice system with six cases, local self-government with four, and public companies with three.

Agency Director Hasan Preteni says that according to estimates the total amount of fraud at play in the cases submitted to the prosecution is some EUR 6mn.
