During his trip, Brammertz will meet with Serbian officials responsible for cooperation with the Tribunal.

“The prosecutor will be in Belgrade next Wednesday, and will meet with government representatives responsible for cooperation with the Hague,“ Olga Kavran told journalists in the Dutch capital.

Kavran called the visit “regular“, pointing out that Brammertz had earlier said he would meet with Serbian officials once a new government had been formed.

She could not say exactly who the prosecutor would be speaking with, because “the visit’s itinerary has yet to be confirmed.“

The Tribunal announced that Brammertz had spoken yesterday to Clint Williamson, the U.S. ambassador for war crimes issues, without going into any further details of their meeting.

Williamson also met with Tribunal President Fausto Pocar.
