Kosovo to issue "intl. arrest warrant for six Serbs"

Kosovo judicial authorities could soon issue an international arrest warrant for six Serbs suspected of killing a Kosovo police special unit (ROSU) member.

Kosovo judicial authorities could soon issue an international arrest warrant for six Serbs suspected of killing a Kosovo police special unit (ROSU) member. This is according to Pristina-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore. Kosovo to issue "intl. arrest warrant for six Serbs" Police officer Enver Zumberi was shot and killed near Zubin Potok in late July. Kosovska Mitrovica district attorney has filed a request to launch a procedure necessary to issue the international arrest warrant. “It is expected that the judge will sign the request in the next few days and then address the Interpol secratariat in Lyon,“ the daily has reported quoting a source from the District Court. The investigation and arrest of the suspects in northern Kosovo did not yield any results. The District Court in Pristina issued the warrant for the arrest of the suspects five weeks ago. According to police sources, Ratomir Bozovic, Radovan Radic, Milovan Vlaskovic, Slobodan Vucinic, Dusan Jovanovic and Ratomir Kasalevic are suspected of the murder. Koha Ditore has reported that they are allegedly in central Serbia. The Pristina authorities believe that the international arrest warrant would force Serbia, as a member of the Interpol, to look for the suspects.
