Croat hooligans attack Serbia manager

Serbia's youth football squad manager Milovan Djoric was assaulted in Varazdin, Croatia, on Tuesday afternoon. Djoric told reporters that a group of "some seven or eight hooligans" physically attacked him while he was taking a walk around the town wearing his Serbian team jacket. Croat hooligans attack Serbia manager The assailants also reportedly pushed the manager to the ground. A man in a nearby store took Djoric in to protect him, until police arrived at the scene. According to Croatian media, a more serious incident was prevented because riot police were nearby and reacted swiftly. The same sources said that Djoric suffered minor facial injuries. The incident took place ahead of a match between the youth squads of Serbia and Croatia. Police in Varazdin said they were looking for the attackers.
