"Dacic could be here more often," PM tells cabinet session

Vucic then revealed that "Vucic and (Zlatibor) Loncar" scored the highest in this regard, followed by Aleksandar Antic, Nebojsa Stefanovic, and Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic, while Nikola Selakovic, Ivan Tasovac, Dusan Vujovic, and, Ivica Dacic, occupy the bottom of this list.

As he opened the session today, the prime minister asked the government's secretary-general, Novak Nedic, "why there was nobody present from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

Ivica Dacic is currently in New York where he is taking part in UN activities and meeting with his counterparts.

Vucic dedicated most of the session to the economy, the new arrangement with the IMF and the exchange rate of the Serbian dinar (RSD).

"Clear signal"

Aleksandar Vucic told his cabinet that the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) decision to approvea new arrangement with Serbia was "a clear signal that our country was on the right and safe track."

Vucic informed the ministers about the decision of the IMF’s board of directors to grant Serbia the precautionary arrangement and said he was proud of that fact as it had come after seven months of hard work.

He thanked former finance minister Lazar Krstic for insisting on stricter discipline and the importance of getting this arrangement, and particularly to the current finance minister, Dusan Vujovic, for putting in a lot of energy and hard work, which he said was true of all the other members of the government as well.

The prime minister said that Serbia "proved with that hard work that it was able to be a serious, reliable partner to Europe and the rest of the world and that the world could count on Serbia."

“A lot of difficult days and months are still ahead of us. This is a clear and unambiguous signal that the international institution is sending to the world - that our country is on the right and safe track,” said Vucic.
