High school students from Serbia competing at the 11th International Junior Science Olympiad in Argentina have won one gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

Five medals for Serbians at Junior Science Olympiad

The competition consisted of three separate examinations - test, theoretical and experimental - requiring a wide knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology.

The Olympiad took place on December 2-11 in Mendoza, Argentina, and the participants were students under the age of 16, coming from 35 countries.

The students who represented Serbia were selected through physics competitions held in the past academic year, when they were in the 8th grade. The preparations for the international competition were organized by the Society of Physicists of Serbia at the Belgrade Faculty of Physics.
