Dacic holds series of meetings in New York

The ministers agreed that bilateral cooperation between the two countries is excellent in all aspects and expressed their interest in further strengthening of economic cooperation.

They agreed to organize soon a meeting of ministers in charge of economy, energy and infrastructure, in order to promote a more comprehensive economic cooperation between the two countries.

Dacic also met with the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kokhir Rasulzoda. The two officials expressed willingness to improve bilateral relations and agreed on close cooperation during Serbia's forthcoming OSCE presidency, especially in the area of security, the fight against organised crime and drug trafficking.

One of the priorities of Serbia's chairmanship will be the issue of waters, which attracts keen interest of Tajikistan, the statement reads.

Dacic also had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Ri Su Yong, and the two officials pointed to good bilateral relations which are to be promoted further by exchange of high level visits.

Dacic expressed Serbia's intention and determination not only to maintain, but also to promote good relations with friends worldwide.

Dacic, who is a member of the Serbian delegation to the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, is also scheduled to attend the meeting of foreign ministers of the Western Balkan countries with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement.
