The Ministry of Interior (MUP) will ensure safety for participants in the walk during the Pride Parade if the Government decide that the event will take place.

Police will ensure safety for pride parade participants

Milosav Milickovic, state secretary at the Ministry of Interior, said that the MUP will certainly ensure safety during the gathering “as serious countries in a contemporary, democratic society do.”

Milickovic underlined that the NSP strike will not affect the security of the Pride Parade.

“I personally think that the Pride Parade will be held, as there is no reason why that would not be the case, but the decision on that will be delivered by the Government,” he told reporters at the Belgrade fair.

The NSP stated that the strike will begin on September 26, and organizers of the Pride Parade announced a walk through downtown Belgrade on September 28.
