Vučić says his trip to Berlin was successful

In collaboration with the Serbia-Germany Forum, there are plans to arrange a visit to Serbia for officials of all 16 German states and show potential investors that Serbia is offering better incentive packages than regional countries, he said.

Speaking about Monday's visit to Berlin and a panel discussion held there, Vučić said that Germany wants Serbia to be prepared when it joins the European Union, but that it also seeks the best possible conditions for its investors, which implies changes to the business environment in Serbia and amendments to the labour, privatisation and bankruptcy laws, as well as to the law on planning and construction.

Vučić said that Serbia received major support from all German investors and the people he spoke to, and that developments in Serbia are attracting general attention in Germany.

"If we are strong enough to endure all the reforms and have enough will and faith to change ourselves, Serbia will be a modern and successful country in three to four years," Vučić concluded.

The Serbian prime minister met with Gunther Krichbaum, the head of Bundestag's committee on EU affairs, to discuss Germany's support to Serbia's European integration and economic reforms in the country, the Belgrade-Priština dialogue and relations in the region, the Serbian government's press office said in a statement.

Vučić also met with German businesspeople at Deutsche Bank, as well as with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, former chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and Balkans expert Bodo Hombach.
