Vučić fights imaginary enemies - opposition party

The opposition Democratic Party (DS) has condemned as "absolutely unacceptable" a statement made by Aleksandar Vučić about "a campaign that is led against him."

Vučić fights imaginary enemies - opposition party

"Vučić has gone a step further today in his fight against imaginary internal enemies, and is trying to, with unacceptable accusations, get the the whole country, all citizens, to quarrel with the international community," a DS statement said.

According to the party, the prime minister is making "extremely dangerous claims for the sake of his personal marketing, fending off a media campaign that only he can see."

"While confrontation with the international community is something AleksandarVučić knows very well, while the rhetoric that leads to the conflict is the kind that is closest to him, the DS does not intend to allow the citizens of Serbia to be drawn into an imaginary battle between the prime minister who is in this way abusing his position and showing extreme irresponsibility toward the state because of his desire for personal promotion" - said the statement.
