President starts consultations on government

The president will be meeting with representatives of electoral lists that won MP seats in the country's new parliament, which had its inaugural session on Wednesday.

Nikolić will on Thursday confer with the representatives of the list "Ivica Dačić - Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS), United Serbia (JS)", followed by the list "With the Democratic Party - For a Democratic Serbia", and the list "Boris Tadić - New Democratic Party - The Greens, LSV (League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina) - Nenad Čanak, Together for Serbia, VMDK (Democratic Fellowship of Vojvodina Hungarians), Together for Vojvodina, Democratic Left of Roma ".

The president will also consult with the slates "Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians - Istvan Pastor", "SDA (Party of Democratic Action) of Sandžak - Dr. Sulejman Ugljanin" and "Party for Democratic Action - Riza Halimi".

On Tuesday, April 22, Serbian president will also consult with the representatives of electoral list "Aleksandar Vučić - Future We Believe In (Serb Progressive Party, Social Democratic Party of Serbia, New Serbia, Serbian Renewal Movement, Movement of Socialists)", the president's press service said.

Serbia held early local elections on March 16, when the coalition gathered around the SNS won 158 seats in the 250-seat parliament. SNS leader Aleksandar Vučić is expected to become the country's new prime minister.
