Almost two weeks after Serbians voted in elections, "post-election silence" seems to be in place, with only some media speculation about the future government.

The Serb Progressives (SNS), who will have an absolute parliamentary majority, remain silent.The start of negotiations on a new government is expected once a program has been produced that will rally a new team to lead the country.
What is known is that SNS leader Aleksandar Vučić will be the new prime minister. As the government's program is being drafted, "candidates for new ministers are being carefully considered."
Beside those who will come from parties, the media are also speculating extensively on non-partisan figures who may join the cabinet.
One of them, mentioned as a candidate to head the foreign ministry, is German Marshall Fund of the United States Senior Vice President for Programs Ivan Vejvoda. "I have received no offer. I know there has been some talk about it, but there's also been some talk in 2007 and in 2012. When the question is asked, I will answer," he said on Friday.
Although some media outlets said that the New Democratic Party (NDS) and its coalition could "top the list for discussions about a new government," the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, one of the parties from that coalition, said that so far there have been no talks on this subject.
"Will the LSV participate in the government? We must first see what the position of the SNS will be, and which priorities Aleksandar Vučić will set for the government, and then we can go on to our main board to declare ourselves," said Bojan Kostreš.
Some analysts suggest that there is only seemingly a lull in the negotiations, since short deadlines have been set to put together a cabinet.
"I think there will be details, mainly about the ratio of non-partisan figures, and who potential coalition partners will be, if Vučić decided to forge this so-called wide social consensus," says Zoran Panović, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Danas.
Before a new government can be elected the Serbian parliament will first be constituted - something that must be done in less than a month from now.
