LSV Vice President Branislav Bogaroški said that such "incendiary messages" were tantamount to promoting "autonomist" ideas during the election campaign, all with the goal of helping the LDP cross the 5-percent threshold.

"This is proof of the immature policy that party has toward Vojvodina. Vojvodina is not, nor has it ever been, separatist. The fact that the LDP does not cross the threshold in Vojvodina and major towns there clearly shows that residents of Vojvodina know how to recognize cheap campaign marketing," Bogaroški said in a statement.

He added that his party, the LSV, was working on "permanently solving the issue of Vojvodina's position within Serbia, in the Serbian Constitution."

"That is not and must not be material for pre-election incendiary statements. Vojvodina is aware how the Constitution is adopted, and who adopts it," he concluded.
