"Serbia aims to finish EU talks by 2019"

First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić said on Monday that the country's goal was to complete the negotiation process for EU membership "by 2018-2019."

"Serbia aims to finish EU talks by 2019"

"Serbia is a factor of stability and prosperity in the region," the Serbian official also stated.

Vučić underscored that the country "made great progress in fulfilling the requirements for EU entry, and will pass a set of very important reform bills after the elections."

Swoboda expressed satisfaction about the progress that Serbia has made in the EU integration process and commended the results of the Belgrade-Priština dialogue, the government's press office said.

Swoboda also "stressed that the European Parliament will assist Serbia in the EU accession talks."
