Screening for Chapter 3 starts

BRUSSELS The screening for Chapter 3 of Serbia's EU accession talks, dealing with the freedom to provide services, started in Brussels early Thursday. The Serbian delegation, which consists of experts from several relevant ministries, is headed by chief negotiator Tanja Miscevic. So far, Serbia has successfully completed the screenings for chapters 23, 24, 32, 2 and 35 on the judiciary and fundamental rights, police, financial control, freedom of movement for workers and the process of normalization of the Belgrade-Pristina ties, respectively. Once the screenings for each of the 35 chapters are complete, the European Commission will produce a report that will serve as a basis for European Council decisions on opening individual chapters.
