BELGRADE Tomislav Nikolic toured a bridge construction site in Belgrade on Wednesday and said, "Let's celebrate the bridge today, and shake the police tomorrow." This statement came a day after the Serbian president asserted that "information was leaking from the Interior Ministry," alerting suspected criminals of planned police operations. "Citizens to be kept informed as chapters open" Addressing reporters at the Zemun-Borca bridge over the Danube, Nikolic also said that Serbia will never recognize an independent Kosovo, that the country would join the EU "without conditioning," and that the citizens, as negotiating chapters open, "will be informed about everything."
