BELGRADE Serbia recorded surplus worth USD 1.42 billion in exchange with CEFTA countries in the course of ten months of 2013. This was mainly the result of export of agricultural products and various final goods. Surplus in trade with CEFTA USD 1.42 billion The data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia (RSZ) show that Serbia's exports to CEFTA countries in the period from January to October mainly focused on grains, various beverages and final products, while iron, steel, electricity, fruit and vegetables had the biggest stake in its imports. Serbia's exports in the period totaled USD 2.27 billion while imports added up to USD 845 million, which means that the coverage of imports by exports totaled 268.6 percent. RSZ recalled that Croatia became an EU member in July, which means that it is no longer a part of the CEFTA group of countries, and this also has an effect on the results in exchange of goods. In 2012, Serbia achieved a surplus in exchange with CEFTA countries of around USD 1.32 billion as the result of exports of agricultural products, iron and steel.
