BRUSSELS The 17th round of the trilateral talks between Ivica Dacic, Catherine Ashton and Hashim Thaci was held in Brussels on Wednesday. They discussed the local elections held in Kosovo last Sunday. Voting to be repeated only on 3 polling stations Thaci said after the meeting that voting would be repeated only in three polling stations in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, before December 1. This was confirmed also by Ivica Dacic. The Kosovo Central Election Commission on Tuesday annulled the results from the three polling stations, where incidents occurred on November 3. Hashim Thaci also said that an agreement had been reached regarding customs. Besides these, another topic was the judiciary, and reporters in Brussels noted that this was one of the shorter sessions. The meeting was attended by Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic. The next round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will be held in Brussels on December 5. EU High Representative Catherine Ashton said that the two prime ministers agreed on the steps to a successful completion of the electoral process, and that the authorities in Pristina would decide on the specific elements of that process. In a statement replayed by her spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic, Ashton expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting today. "The prime ministers agreed to continue the implementation of the Brussels agreement at an accelerated pace, in order to complete implementation as envisaged by the agreement. They reaffirmed their commitment to do what is necessary to complete the task," said Ashton. (EU, file) B92

Thaci said after the meeting that voting would be repeated only in three polling stations in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, before December 1.

This was confirmed also by Ivica Dačić.

The Kosovo Central Election Commission on Tuesday annulled the results from the three polling stations, where incidents occurred on November 3.

Hashim Thaci also said that an agreement had been reached regarding customs.

Besides these, another topic was the judiciary, and reporters in Brussels noted that this was one of the shorter sessions. The meeting was attended by Deputy PM Aleksandar Vučić.

The next round of dialogue between Belgrade and Priština will be held in Brussels on December 5.

EU High Representative Catherine Ashton said that the two prime ministers agreed on the steps to a successful completion of the electoral process, and that the authorities in Priština would decide on the specific elements of that process.

In a statement replayed by her spokeswoman Maja Kocijančič, Ashton expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting today.

"The prime ministers agreed to continue the implementation of the Brussels agreement at an accelerated pace, in order to complete implementation as envisaged by the agreement. They reaffirmed their commitment to do what is necessary to complete the task," said Ashton.
