BRUSSELS Germany and Britain have demanded that the EU members "review" the normalization of Belgrade-Pristina relations, Beta is reporting. The two countries wants this fully integrated in the framework for the accession talks with Serbia, and that special chapter 35, dealing with Belgrade's obligation to normalize ties with Pristina, be opened right away. German-British "non-paper" sent to EU partners Beta news agency said it had seen the unofficial document, a non-paper, which Germany and Britain have submitted to their EU partners, demanding that "visible and lasting progress in Serbia-Kosovo relations should render the full normalization (of ties) in the form of a legally binding document". Aside from the chapters on justice, freedoms, the judiciary and rule of law, they are demand the immediate opening of the chapter on the normalization of relations with Kosovo, with the condition that talks on all chapters be connected with that normalization and defined under a special provision. As regards EU acquis, "Serbia must ensure that its legislation, including its geographic dimensions, is not contrary to the full normalization of relations with Kosovo," it said in an introductory explanation of the ten-item document, delivered to the EU countries from Germany and Great Britain. According to well-informed EU diplomats, Berlin and London demand that for future accession talks with the EU, the inseparable condition be imposed on Belgrade, and, indirectly on Pristina, that all the dialog chapters depend on the arrangement and normalization of mutual ties, Beta reported.
