BELGRADE First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said that he "has no wish to have early parliamentary elections in Serbia." That would "halt reforms," he added, but could not rule out the possibility - "as it is impossible to work in the atmosphere of daily criticism and threat of elections." Early elections "not needed, but not ruled out" "I hope they would not happen, as I think that would stop these difficult reforms. That would just constitute a delay, and that's why I hope that there would be no elections, but I cannot exclude that possibility," Vucic said in a live broadcast on the Belgrade-based TV Pink on Sunday evening. According to him, "there is no need for snap parliamentary elections," while Prime Minister Ivica Dacic "has governed the country well in strategic terms, and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has performed his duties very well." “However, if we are to work in an impossible atmosphere, and withstand attacks every day, and face threats of elections every day, you find yourself in the situation that you say - we have no problem with that, we have no problem to prove our legitimacy,” Vucic said. He added that "no one in the ruling coalition is halting the reforms that are the most important," stressing that if that were the case, he would go to President Nikolic and tell him "that could not go on, and that elections ought to be held." "But, that is not the case," Vucic said. Dacic and Vucic attend a government session on Monday (Tanjug) Tanjug
