BELGRADE President Tomislav Nikolic will address the regular session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), which begins on Monday in Strasbourg. The Serbian president will address the the plenary gathering. President to address PACE session in Strasbourg As the Serbian parliament announced, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin will also address PACE's autumn plenary. The session will address issues relating to national security and access to information, the functioning of democratic institutions in Bosnia-Herzegovina and children's right to physical integrity. There have been requests for urgent debates on the situation in Syria, and on the EU's human rights agenda. As part of an annual debate on the activities of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the organization's Secretary General Angel Gurria will address the assembly, while President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer will speak in a debate on missing persons from Europe's conflicts. As announced, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who chairs the Committee of Ministers, will present the traditional communication to the Assembly and answer members' questions. Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland is also due to address the parliamentarians, the release reads.
