NEW YORK President Tomislav Nikolic will address world leaders during the session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York on Wednesday. He is also scheduled to meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton. Nikolic to address UN General Assembly Nikolic and his wife will attend the opening of an exhibition of works of prominent Serbian painters entitled, "In Tesla's Honor", and a reception organized by the Serbian Mission to the United Nations. The president will there present a state decoration to former U.S. prosecutor and "fighter for truth about Serbia worldwide" Ramsey Clark, as well as to Dan Burton, who until recently led the Serbian Caucus in the U.S. Congress, and Congresswoman Melissa Bean. During his stay in New York this week Nikolic attended a gala reception organized by U.S. President Barack Obama, and unveiled a monument dedicated to Serbian-American scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla.. Nikolic is accompanied by Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic, who will also have a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of several states. He spoke yesterday with the foreign ministers of Oman, Turkey, Bosnia and Albania, and met with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland. Nikolić and his wife will attend the opening of an exhibition of works of prominent Serbian painters entitled, "In Tesla's Honor", and a reception organized by the Serbian Mission to the United Nations.
