BELGRADE Tomislav Nikolic has not received an invitation to participate in the summit of presidents of regional countries which will be held in Kosovo next year. This was announced by the president's press office, following a statement by Arber Vlahiju, a spokesman and head of the Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga's office, saying that "Jahjaga sent an invitation to Nikolic to participate in the summit." "Nikolic did not receive invitation for summit in Kosovo" "Even if Jahjaga's invitation had arrived, it is still not the right moment for such a meeting in Kosovo," Nikolic's press office told Belgrade daily Danas. Vlahiju told the newspaper on Monday he "believes that one of the next meetings between Jahjaga and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will be in Kosovo, where the next summit of presidents of regional countries will take place." "Jahjaga, as the host of this sixth summit in a row, which will be held next year, sent an invitation to Nikolic to participate," Vlahiju said. He also stated that Jahjaga and Nikolic "so far met several times since February this year, when the first direct meeting was held in Brussels, with the EU's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton as the intermediary, and then they met at other forums and summits, regional and international, such as the regional summit at Brdo Pri Kranju in Slovenia."
