BELGRADE A former general director of PD Rudnici Bakra (Copper Mines) Bor was arrested on Monday morning as a suspect in a corruption case. Nebojsa Radosevic was detained in connection to the case concerning financial abuses committed during land expropriation, B92 has been told. Former director of copper mine arrested The mines sustained financial damage of some RSD 14 million in the process, the Belgrade daily Blic is reporting. Two more persons were detained by the police in the eastern town of Zajecar: the company's Deputy Director for Development and Investments Nebojsa Bucan, and Milomir Veljkovic, a court expert. The authorities are investigating two more suspects, including a municipal administration official. Veljkovic is suspected of artificially increasing the market value of property that was subject of expropriation in 2010 and 2011, while Bucan is accused of instigation. Radosevic is charged with signing the appraisals, and then increasing the offers to the municipal administration. The accused municipal worker is suspected of concluding contracts on the value of expropriated land, accepting that the mines would pay compensation several times higher than the real value of the property. Veljković is suspected of artificially increasing the market value of property that was subject of expropriation in 2010 and 2011, while Bućan is accused of instigation.
