BELGRADE The opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) will organize a protest in Belgrade on Sunday, September 29, against local elections in Kosovo. The party today called on citizens to take part. DSS to hold protest against local polls in Kosovo The DSS Committee for the Defense of Kosovo and Metohija will organize the protest at the Sava Center, against "the anti-state and anti-constitutional elections which Albanian separatists called for November 3," DSS spokesman Petar Petkovic said. He addressed a press conference to say that, under pressure from western countries, the Serbian government's propaganda is directed at Serbs, calling on them to go to the polls and "partake in capitulation." Petkovic repeated that the DSS is against the elections, stressing that the Serbian government is insisting on them because of EU integration, "but he urged Serbs not to vote and thus prevent a further ceding of Kosovo and Metohija," Tanjug reported.
