FRANKFURT Mercedes-Benz will enter strategic partnership with Belgrade-based bus manufacturer Ikarbus and the agreement is to be facilitated by the Serbian government. According to reports, Mercedes-Benz Srbija CEO Rolf-Juergen Seyerle confirmed this at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz to invest in Serbia, confirms CEO The partnership envisages Ikarbus mounting bus bodies on Mercedes-Benz chassis and Mercedes-Benz managing the process. These buses should be sold in Serbia and in third markets. RTS has reported that Mercedes-Benz is still considering options for cooperation with the Fabrika Automobila Priboj (FAP), Serbian manufacturer of trucks.
