BELGRADE Ivica Dacic said during a meeting with the "Quint" ambassadors that there is "a lot of work to do in the organization of the local elections in Kosovo." He stressed the need for all parties to respect the obligations arising from what has been agreed in Brussels to ensure that the elections pass off in a fair atmosphere. "All sides must honor deals to ensure fair election" “The most important thing is to create the conditions for all who have the right to vote to take part in the elections, to prolong the deadline for voter registration and to remove the administrative obstacles set up by Pristina,” the prime minister said. Dacic said that the Brussels-based dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina will continue after the local elections in Kosovo, which are scheduled for November 3. The agreements reached with representatives of Pristina on energy and telecommunications are crucial to the normalization of life and the process of establishing trust among the citizens of Kosovo, said Dacic. The prime minister's meeting with the ambassadors was attended by Minister without Portfolio responsible for Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin and Serbian government Secretary General Veljko Odalovic, the Serbian government said in a release on Monday.
