The Montenegrin police said that nobody was inside the car when the accident happened, and that "minor material damage" was done. The explosion happened in the parking lot in front of the building where the police official, Darko Ćorac, lives.

The Montenegrin police said they were investigating the case.

In 2009, Ćorac was transferred from the town of Budva to Pljevlja, where he was appointed chief of the local police administration.
