The top spot on the list of exporters in the first eight months of 2013 belongs to Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS) with EUR 952.4mn, the Ministry of Finance says.

BELGRADE The top spot on the list of exporters in the first eight months of 2013 belongs to Fiat Automobili Srbija (FAS) with EUR 952.4mn, the Ministry of Finance says. Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) is ranked second with EUR 183.2 million, followed by Tigar Gume from Pirot with EUR 162.1 million, HIP Petrohemija from Pancevo with EUR 140.8 million and the pharmaceutical company Hemofarm from Vrsac with EUR 101.3 million. Fiat Automobiles Serbia tops list of exporters The next company on the list is the home appliance manufacturer Gorenje with EUR 86.5 million, followed by floor tiles maker Tarket from Backa Palanka with EUR 84.8 million, RTB Invest from Bor with EUR 83.5 million, Bol Pakovanje Evropa with EUR 79.8 million and the corporation Jura with EUR 75.3 million, the ministry quoted the data from the Customs Administration. Impol Seval from Sevojno, Golden Lady from Belosevac, Tetrapak from Belgrade, Sirmium Steel from Sremska Mitrovica and Leoni from Prokuplje are also among the biggest exporters. The national Statistical Office announced that Serbia recorded EUR 6.08 billion in export in the first 7 months of this year, which is 24 percent more than the same time last year. Import stood at EUR 8.73 billion, or 2.9 percent higher than in the same period last year. The trade deficit was EUR 2.65 billion, which is a reduction of 26.1 percent compared to last year.
