The Kosovo OSCE Mission spokesperson Nikola Gaon said he believed that the stakeholders would reach an agreement on all the open issues so far, including appearance of the ballots. OSCE:Belgrade and Pristina to Agree on Appearance of Ballots Gaon said the OSCE hoped that mutually acceptable solutions regarding all the open issues would be found. He added he did not believe the local election would be postponed and that the OSCE did not count on it. The OSCE is ready to pass stands of the political agents from the north of Kosovo to Pristina and vice versa and to assist in informing voters on the election when the time comes, Gaon said. Asked about voting of the displaced persons from Kosovo, Gaon said that the OSCE developed mechanisms enabling these people to exercise their voting right, at the request of both sides, Belgrade and Pristina. He specified that the OSCE was working on establishing a centre in Nis, from which the election material would be sent and collected from the places where the displaced persons voted. Gaon also said that the OSCE would set up several mobile teams that would be working in the territory of Serbia and they would be mediators, in principle, who would help the displaced persons exercise their voting right though mail.
