These are only talks on how to help Belgrade in becoming a beautiful metropolis and using the potentials we have, and we have many potentials”, Jovicic said. Outside the cooperation on this project, as far as the SNS councilors in the City Assembly are concerned, Djilas can expect a “hot autumn”, he added. Belgrade on Water is an idea which has existed for more than thirty years; it concerns the structuring of the right bank of the Sava River, but it had not been realized so far, since according to it, it is foreseen that relocation of the main railway station and investments of at least several hundred million EUR take place. Jovicic said that it was of “the utmost importance” to begin with the carrying out of this project, adding that it was imperative for the SNS, which talked about the importance of this project during its pre-election campaign. “The SNS will open talks with the Mayor of Belgrade on this project and we hope that he won’t obstruct them. We do not share the opinion that he was leading this city well, but rather that Belgrade is a metropolis which is 900 million EUR in debt, that projects are overestimated, as they have been paid for by several times their realistic price”, Jovicic said.
